In order to deliver the best product and service, we need to have great people. This means that we need to be extremely deliberate about identifying and rewarding the best talent at Spill and communicating what great looks like for people in their roles.

Performance reviews

Everyone will receive a review every 3 months in their role. The review will be completed by your manager.

A review generally assesses four areas:

Promotions

Promotions happen on a 6 monthly cycle. In order to be considered for a promotion, you must have exceeded expectations in your review.

Pay increases

Tenure-based pay increases

If you are fulfilling the duties of your role consistently but aren’t moving up the progression ladder, you will still get pay increases between the bands of your current role and the next band up on a 12-month cycle.

Investment-based pay increases

When Spill reaches a new investment stage (e.g., Seed ⇒ Series A or Series A ⇒ Series B), every full-time employee will receive a pay increase to acknowledge the new milestone reached by the business. Future annual salary benchmarking will be tied to that investment stage.
